The first two MEDES intellectual outputs ready to download!

During the IX Day on School Mediation the first two intellectual outputs of MEDES were officially presented:

Output 1) Toolkit MULTI-MEDES: multimedia learning material in 3 languages (Italian, Spanish and English) for mediation in schools, consisting in:

  • Informative material for training on school mediation and restorative justice
  • Videos with examples of mediation activities in school
  • Interactive web targeting future young mediators, to approach the mediation contents autonomously in a ludic way.

The Balliana-Nievo School flies to SPAIN!

Great enthusiasm among the students of Balliana-Nievo School who travelled from Italy to Spain for the first exchange within the MEDES project.

From the 20th to the 27th of March 2018, IES MIRALCAMP in Villareal is going to host a group of 10 students from Sacile accompanied by the two professors, Alessandro Fabbroni and Elena Camilotti, and Sara Dall’Armellina who has been responsible for all the training activities. The exchange will focus on school mediation as a conflict prevention and resolution methodology. The key activities of MEDES are being developed by the Municipality of Villareal (lead partner) together with the Municipality of Sacile, Itaca, El Porc Espì Association and the schools involved (IES MIRALCAMP from Villareal and Balliana Nievo from Sacile).

“Open Day”: Medes meets families and students in Sacile

Sacile, Balliana-Nievo School, 13 January 2018. On the 13th of January, the “School of Sacile Balliana-Nievo” organized an Open Day, the annual meeting dedicated to all those families interested to know further about the services, classrooms and training courses offered by the school.

Within the event, students and teachers set up a special corner for the MEDES project, too. It was an amazing opportunity to give an overview on the last activities implemented by the co-funded Erasmus+ project and tell more about school mediation as a means to prevent early school leaving and fight bullying.

Tear Down these Walls!

The project involved two training seminars: one in Berlin (04.03- 12.03.2016) and one in Bucharest (05.09 – 12.09.2016) a practice period for new-learned non-formal educational approaches in the home-countries in-between them.

Participants had the possibility to learn, discuss and evaluate a large variety of non-formal pedagogical approaches to deal with the European east-west history and its current consequences. Reflecting on the European history and the still existing stereotypes about the “east” and the “west” is an important part of political education and a great contribute to a peaceful Europe in future.
