Project Meeting in Triest

CrossCare Project Partners met in Triest the 29th of November to discuss the results of the testing of the cross-border Model, an integrated approach to healthcare for the elderly. The model is based on the concept of active ageing and a welfare community methodology and aims to respond effectively and comprehensively to the needs of the frail elderly person, of the family and of caregivers, with a view to allow autonomous and better quality of life at home.

The evaluation phase will draw conclusion and suggestions based on results of the testing phase which will end in December 2018.

Towards the adoption of the crossborder protocol!

Portogruaro, Residenza Francescon, 20 February 2018. The Scientific Committee’s journey keeps going! This time we were in the small but cosy town of Portogruaro at Residenza Francescon.

Residenza Francescon is an innovative residence for senior citizens that is going to test advanced ICT solutions. Since improving the life of older people through the implementation of digital devices is among the specific goals of CrossCare, Francescon’s contribution in this project is crucial. Paolo Giacopello, manager of the social assistance services area, is leading the Scientific Committee towards the approval of a crossborder protocol. Paolo gave us a great tour of the facilities and welcomed us with a big breakfast!

The CrossCare Scientific Committee at work in Capodistria

Capodistria, Odu Koper, 23 January 2018. The CrossCare Scientific Committee met at Odu Koper in Capodistria. After being kindly welcomed with a hot coffee and some jam tarts, we started working.

First item on the agenda was the analysis of the European Welfare organization. We identified 4 major systems: German/Conservative, English/Liberal, Scandinavian and Mediterranean. For each system, we analysed main features, strengths and weaknesses. The analysis aimed at collecting all the necessary elements we need to advance the research.

The CrossCare Logo is officially out!

The Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Management Authority officially delivered the CrossCare project logo and the Visual Identity style guidelines.

According to the Programme Communication Strategy, project logos aim at increasing the recognition of Interreg funds and projects in the Programme Area and are the official and only version of the funded project branding.

CrossCare: a new model of elderly care

Pordenone, 1 October 2017. Italy and Slovenia work together to face the challenges related to the aging phenomenon in the cross-border area. The CrossCare project will foresee the experimentation of domestic technologies as well as new systems of elderly care. It also planned to create local service points to facilitate the connection between families, care givers and territorial facilities.
